Hostel

  • Boarding: Facility for both boys and girls separately
  • Outing day/Visiting day: Every second Sunday of the month is visiting day for parents and children are allowed to visit home during festivals and long weekends with proper consent
  • Boarding life at KPS: KPS hostel creates an environment of mutual respect between the teacher and the taught, where each child’s health and welfare are of paramount importance. Our discipline system is firm and rigorous but based on the principles of natural justice and fairness.
  • Boarding: We operate a traditional seven-day boarding schedule with an academic timetable with lessons from Monday to Saturday inclusive. Sunday is reserved for outings, activities and opportunities for pupils to catch up with themselves. The school’s curriculum is fully integrated. Wardens/in-charges care at The KPS hostel is not something that happens when things go wrong; it happens every second of the day.The theme of well-being is also interwoven into school life; the skills learnt enable pupils to think ahead, be resilient and resourceful and to develop strategies that they will carry with them long after they have walked out of the school gates.
  • Food children eat: Children eat breakfast at 8am, lunch at 12:50 PM and dinner at 7.30PM – 8:30PM depending on the class each day
  • Food children eat: The Central Dining Hall provides three main meals a day and two substantial snacks. A comprehensive and balanced menu designed in consultation with a dietician provides children and staff with a cuisine that is varied and nutritious
  • Milk: Pure Cow milk and cow milk based products like Ghee and curd/buttermilk will be served everyday
  • Vegetables: We have achieved in cultivating all leafy vegetables in house in organic way and we aim on to cultivate every vegetable that our children consume to be grown organically
  • Snacks: Two times in a day. Ragi malt, boiled pulses, fruits , Samosa, noodles, Omletes, Bread & Jam, Other local south Indian snacks are freshly made in the kitchen and served
  • Sundays: Sundays are special unless its exam week. Students visit nearby picnic spots if weather conditions are suitable. Students play day long and relax in the evenings watching their favourite sport/movie

  • Barber visits school every third and first Sunday to make children to have great hairstyle
  • Every evening a nurse visits and takes children to hospital if necessary and in case of seriousness, parent/guardian will be immediately communicated about the situation

Hostel Boarders

  • The Boarders will enjoy full security for living and learning. The students will stay round the clock under the supervision of their house masters, Matrons and study under the direct supervision of their mentors. Nutritious and tasty food is offered along with snacks and appetizers twice a day. The hostel mess provides organic leafy vegetables with cow milk and ghee and cow curd/buttermilk. It is the bounden duty of the management to take parental care all times and whole times. Regular Medical check-up and treatment is offered to one and all. It is the experience of the management that students get all round development in their personality.
  • YOGA, sports and other engaging activities are part of child development and also for students to feel like home away from home, small field trips to nearby hill station to experience the sunrise and develop the inner peace.
